Halloween 2010

The kids had a great time carving pumpkins and trick or treating. Grandma and Auntie Rachel joined us for the festivities.

Been awhile

We have had so much happen since the last blog. I will give a quick update, minus the details.

Jake is in first grade and absolutely loving it. Katie and Ryan are now in preschool and guess who there teacher is....... Tricia. Tricia is teaching the 2's class and a church near our house. We are staying super busy, but having lots of family time and lots of fun.

Here is a Fall picture that was taken recently.

Happy Birthday Dad!

Birthday Message for Dad! We tried to email this to you but it was too big of a file. Hope you enjoy.

Fun times at the Eye Doctor

These pictures are from a few weeks ago when the kids went to the Eye Doctor. None of the kids need glasses, YAH. Katie is close to needing them but so far so good. We don' t have to go back for a year.

Ryan was first, Katie volunteered him :)

Katie was so excited for her turn after she realized it didn't hurt.

They got their eyes dilated and had to wear these funny disposable sunglasses. Jake actually had his appointment another day but wanted to wear the funny glasses also. They were quite a sight. We had lots of people do a double take as we were walking out of the hospital.

Visit with my brother

Recently my brother and his family went to visit my parents in Chicago, so we drove up to see them. With his four and my three it was quite a bunch. I kept thinking how crazy it would be to add my sisters five in the mix. My kiddos had a great time. Here are a couple of pictures.

This is a really bad picture of me but the only one I have a just me and my brother.

Katie's First Haircut

AWWWW our little girl got her first haircut! She was so excited to be getting her haircut. The whole way to Cookie Cutters she was talking about how she wanted to show Megan (our 2yo neighbor). I guess she already knew how cute she was going to look and wanted to show her friend. She definitely felt like a princess. She got to pick out where she sat. She picked a pink and purple hippo. Then she got a cute little bob cut, blow dry and a fancy little clip that they put in her hair. The new "do" makes her look more like a little girl and less like a baby. Mommy almost cried. She is such a big girl.

Here is the before picture, she is so excited.

After picture :)

The Holiday weekend.

We started off the weekend by going to the carnival with Jake's friend. The boys had a great time.

Pretty girl

Throwing little poppers. They had such a good time.

Our neighbors were setting off loud fireworks and this is Ryan's reaction.

Katie's reaction.

Jake just being awesome.

Waiting for dusk and getting silly. Dusk wasn't until 9:30.

All ready for bed sitting in the driveway watching fireworks. We all had a great time.

Recent Excitement

We have been having lots of fun this summer. Lots of swimming, playing outside with friends, sports, and doctors appointments. Here are some random pictures that I haven't had a chance to blog about.

Ryan getting his new braces, look closely, they have Elmo on them.

Amber and her family came to visit. Here is her son Levi enjoying our fancy ball pit.

Jake was so excited to have baby Milo at our house. Milo isn't too sure about Jake holding him. He just really wanted his Aunt Tricia to hold him. I think Aunt Tricia just might be his first word.

Ryan having to do treatments. I tell you what, this kid always keeps us on our toes.

Ryan in his therapy swing. He LOVES it.

Peek a boo!!!

5k

This weekend, Tricia, Jake, Katie and Ryan were involved in a Ronald McDonald Fun Run. Tricia did a 5k. The kiddos did a mini race. We got up bright and early on Saturday morning in order to make it to the race on time. It was great weather and a great location. Tricia got to jog along the canal in downtown Indianapolis. Jeremy was watching the kids while Tricia walked/jogged the 5k. The kids got to play games and win all kinds of prizes. Oh, did we mention there was unlimited food that everyone could snack on? Jake enjoyed all the cookies and popsicles they had out for the kids.
Tricia placed like a hundred and something. Jake got third place in his age group and won a $20 target gift card. Katie and Ryan got second to last place in their age group but they were by far the cutest:)

Smiling even though it was really early in the morning.

They were so excited to be wearing their new race t-shirts.

Getting rested before the big race.

Mommy just finished and the kiddos have there sweatbands on and are ready to go :)

GO KATIE AND RYAN!

They got off course, Jake was trying to help them get back on the track.

Ryan kept cheating so one of the race volunteers guided him into the finish line.

Katie finished and yelled "I won"

I really think the sweat bands helped them go faster :)

Jake getting ready for his second lap.

Coming into the finish line. GO JAKE!

Awards ceremony

Everyone got a medal they were so proud and continued to show EVERYONE we passed.
