5k

This weekend, Tricia, Jake, Katie and Ryan were involved in a Ronald McDonald Fun Run. Tricia did a 5k. The kiddos did a mini race. We got up bright and early on Saturday morning in order to make it to the race on time. It was great weather and a great location. Tricia got to jog along the canal in downtown Indianapolis. Jeremy was watching the kids while Tricia walked/jogged the 5k. The kids got to play games and win all kinds of prizes. Oh, did we mention there was unlimited food that everyone could snack on? Jake enjoyed all the cookies and popsicles they had out for the kids.
Tricia placed like a hundred and something. Jake got third place in his age group and won a $20 target gift card. Katie and Ryan got second to last place in their age group but they were by far the cutest:)

Smiling even though it was really early in the morning.

They were so excited to be wearing their new race t-shirts.

Getting rested before the big race.

Mommy just finished and the kiddos have there sweatbands on and are ready to go :)

GO KATIE AND RYAN!

They got off course, Jake was trying to help them get back on the track.

Ryan kept cheating so one of the race volunteers guided him into the finish line.

Katie finished and yelled "I won"

I really think the sweat bands helped them go faster :)

Jake getting ready for his second lap.

Coming into the finish line. GO JAKE!

Awards ceremony

Everyone got a medal they were so proud and continued to show EVERYONE we passed.

Happy Birthday Jake!!!

June 6th Jake turned 7. We are still in shock that he is already seven. He is growing up way to fast. For his birthday party we had a few people over. Jeremy's mom and sister, a couple of our friends and also Jakes best friend Joel. Jake knew exactly what food he wanted at his party. We had cake, ice cream, fruit salad (with specific fruits determined by Jake), and a bowl of cherries. We then opened presents and went to Chuck E Cheese. Jake got spoiled rotten this year and he was very happy about that :)

Jake being silly, instead of smiling.

Thought it was a cute picture of Katie. Check out Grandma in the back ground, looks like Ryan wanted more cake :)
Yes those are paint chips all over in the background, can't decide on a color.

Doctors visits

We had two Doctor appointments in one morning. The kids were sick and also Ryan had an extra appointment.

Three sick kids. (picture taken a couple of weeks ago everyone is better)

Kids playing in the examine room while waiting for the Orthopedic Doctor to see Ryan. He needs a new pair of braces.

Vacation

Jeremy was in Alabama in training for his work. At the end of the training we decided to utilize the hotel he was staying in and make it a little vacation. We had an awesome trip and some friends of ours that we haven't seen for a long time came and met us there for two of the days. We had never met there kids so we were so excited that we were able to spend the weekend with them. Here a few pictures.

Every morning after breakfast we took a few extra biscuits to feed to the fish, ducks and geese at the canal right outside our hotel.

Jake felt so old getting his own cereal out of the machine.

All the kiddos together
Katie pouting while the boys enjoyed the view.
There were so many of them. If you feed them they will come.
Walking on the canal
They would spend at least an hour everyday feeding them.

Schools out for Summer

Well Jake has been out of school since the end of May but we are just now getting around to blogging about it. He had an awesome year and LOVED kindergarten. He is super excited to be going to first grade and looking foward to the summer. Here are a few pictures from his end of the year mini 500 day at school. Jake designed his race car and then we just made the templates so that he could trace, cut and paint/color. We thought he did an awesome job.
