Time to Read

Jake has to take a quiet time most days that he is home. Below is a picture of Jake during his quiet time. He LOVES being outside. He told me he was "going outside to have a nice relaxing reading time in nature".

Now here are a few videos of Katie and Ryan performing for the camera.

Library Time

Need to go potty first.

Here we go to the kids section of the library.

Story time

Shake, Shake, Shake

Look what we made!!!!

Time to go, we had fun and got books.

Prayer time

At night before the kids go to bed part of what we do is a prayer time. I have been meaning to take a video of the little ones prayers for quite awhile and have just gotten around to it. All three have such sweet innocent little prayers and we enjoy to hear them every night. I didn't tape Jake because he would know we were taping him and I didn't want to think it was time to show off for the camera. I did tape Katie and Ryan without their knowledge. I will do a little translating before you watch the video just in case you can't understand.

Katie: When Katie reads or prays she doubles the volume of her normal speaking voice which is loud to begin with. I think she takes after her Mom. She says " Ryan good night sleep" a couple times and then she says "He have a Sunny Day" and then right after Ryan pretended to eat her hand she then says something about him eating her hand :)

Ryan: His prayer was a little easier to translate because he repeated the same thing over and over. He said "Dear Jesus AAAA.... oh, Dear Jesus AAAAA...oh, Dear Jesus AAAA...oh. You get the picture, he kept almost saying Amen but was faking us out.

Enjoy

Livin in Indiana

It seems like forever since we have blogged. Well I guess it has been, but we have just now started feeling like we have settled down. It has been a long time coming but we are feeling at home. We have unpacked the crates that we haven't seen the contents of since December 08. It was fun for all of us to see all of our things. Each crate was like a treasure box. A lot has happened since we left Africa and unfortunately we haven't blogged on all the excitement. But to get you all up to speed here is an update on each member of our family.

Jeremy-He is now working for the government in the Department of Defense.

Tricia- She is staying home with the kids and will start teaching preschool in August

Jake- He is finishing up his kindergarten year and is doing awesome. He reads really well and loves anything having to do with nature. He is on the swim team and playing on a Little League Baseball team.

Katie- She is talking up a storm, there is nothing she can't say. She surprises us everyday with how smart she is. She is ready to be a big girl and is potty trained (well almost :))

Ryan- Is learning more and more everyday. He is such a funny boy and loves to make us laugh. He is receiving lots of therapy(DT,OT,PT) and is doing great in it.
